Base Miami Beach supports Coast Guard cutters and small boat stations covering South Florida and the Florida Straits, a high-tempo area for migrant interdiction, counter-narcotics, and boating-safety operations.

Eglin Air Force Base

Valparaiso, FL

Eglin AFB is the Air Force's largest base by land area, home to the 96th Test Wing and a broad air armament and weapons-testing mission, alongside multiple tenant fighter training units. It anchors a large stretch of the Florida Panhandle's Emerald Coast.

Hurlburt Field is headquarters for Air Force Special Operations Command and home to the 1st Special Operations Wing. It sits along the Gulf Coast just west of Eglin AFB's broader reservation.

MacDill AFB is headquarters for both U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command, and is home to the 6th Air Refueling Wing flying the KC-135. It's one of the Air Force's most senior joint-command installations despite not carrying a formal "joint base" designation.

NAS Jacksonville is a major Maritime Patrol and anti-submarine warfare hub, home to P-8 Poseidon squadrons, Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, and a large support and training footprint for the P-3/P-8 community.

Patrick Space Force Base

Cocoa Beach, FL

Patrick SFB hosts Space Launch Delta 45, which manages the Eastern Range supporting launches from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and provides installation support across Florida's Space Coast. It's the Space Force's key East Coast launch-support hub.

Tyndall Air Force Base

Panama City, FL

Tyndall AFB is home to the 325th Fighter Wing, which trains F-22 Raptor pilots, and has been extensively rebuilt following major damage from Hurricane Michael in 2018. It sits on a peninsula along the Gulf of Mexico near Panama City.
