Marine Barracks Washington

Known as '8th and I' for its Capitol Hill cross streets, Marine Barracks Washington is the oldest active post in the Marine Corps, dating to 1801. It's home to the Marine Corps' ceremonial units — the Silent Drill Platoon, the Marine Band ('The President's Own'), and Marines who provide security and ceremonial support in the National Capital Region.
